Hermitage: Retreat Cabin
Located in a wooded area south of the main house, our Hermitage, built in 2010, is available for rent by individuals or couples for a day, weekend or week at a time. The one room cabin features a fireplace, dining area, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and a composting toilet. Enjoy the views of nature from the large picture window. In addition, the screened in front porch provides a comfortable fresh-air sitting area.
Green features of the Hermitage include composite decking, reclaimed trim, green jean insulation, and steel roofing. The flooring and kitchen counter are made from a black walnut tree grown on our property.
Guest stay information:
As of Sept 1, 2015, the rental fee is $40 per day for a single person and $45 for a couple. Provided: Linens, towels, dishes and cooking utensils. Guests bring their own food. Gift certificates are also available.
To save $5 per day of your visit, consider purchasing a RelyLocal card for $15 in the Eco-Justice Center gift shop. For each card sold, the Eco-Justice Center gets $10 to use for environmental education.
