On Friday, June 30, 2007, the Racine Dominican Community celebrated the Rite of Reception into the Novitiate for Chris Broslavick. During the ceremony Chris responded, "in the spirit of St. Dominic, Catherine of Siena and Mother Benedicta Bauer, the foundress of our community, I ask that I may continue to walk in the company of the Sisters of this Racine Dominican Congregation."

In October of 2005, she began her time of candidacy with the Dominican Sisters. Chris is studying Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine.
