Our Associate Lynn Yarbrough died on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008. Her funeral service was held at the Racine Baptist Temple on Friday, March 28.
Lynn was born in Chicago on December 24, 1948. In addition to being a Racine Dominican Associate, Lynn was a member of the Racine Assembly of God, the Racine Chapter of the NAACP, the Prisoner Reform Committee, and the National Honors Society Magna Cum Laude.
Lynn made her Associate Commitment in June 2007. Her commitment statement speaks clearly her faith: “I commit myself in Associate Relationship to deepen my personal prayer and to become an intercessor standing in the gap for others in need of help, healing, and salvation.”
Sister Mary Raynoha and Mary Jane Lorentzen were Lynn’s sponsors. We are blessed by Lynn’s witness. We give thanks for her relationship that continues in eternal life.

Our Associate Candidate Paulette Peterson-Thomas died on Friday, March 28, 2008. Her funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Elkhorn on Wednesday, April 2.
Paulette was born in Burlington, WI. She graduated from Mount Mary College in Wauwatosa with a Bachelors Degree in Human Behavior. She was an Instructor in the Headstart Program.
Her desire to share and affirm spirituality with a supportive group and her interest in social justice issues sparked Paulette’s journey in associate relationship with the Racine Dominicans. In the summer of 2007 Paulette began meeting with her sponsor, Sister Marian Diedrick.
We surround Paulette’s family and friends with our prayer and are grateful for her gift of faith and love which she so generously shared with all.
