The Sisters of St. Dominic of the Congregation of St. Catherine of Siena in Racine, Wisconsin stand in support of Human Rights by opposing the trafficking of women, children and men for sexual exploitation and international works of enslavement.  We commit our prayer, study, resources and action to end this criminal activity against our sisters and brothers.

      We are committed to:

  • Providing workshops, conferences and discussion in collaboration with the Retreat Center at Siena
  • Alert the community to pending legislation and opportunities for advocacy
  • Maintain the fair trade outlet HOPES Center to serve as a deterrent to human trafficking
  • Work with representation from various public services to explore the situation in Racine regarding human trafficking, e.g. city and county policing agencies, Wheaton Franciscan Health Care services such as hospital emergency room, the Women's/Children's Pavilion, Voces de la Frontera, and judicial agencies.
  • Act as a clearing house for information and experiences of our Associates and Sisters wherever they are regarding trafficking
  • Host a Day of Prayer
