Who can become a Sister of St. Dominic (Racine Dominican)?

A woman applying for admission must be single, Catholic and is ordinarily between the ages of 22 and 50.  She will have completed high school with some college and/or life and work experience beyond high school.  She is asked to give evidence of job stability and/or educational/professional pursuit as well as exhibit a willingness to study and learn.  A woman must be able to contribute to the mission and life of the Congregation. 

To be admitted to candidacy for membership in the congregation, a woman must:

• Share and live our Christian and Catholic faith
• Desire to commit herself to sharing our life and mission
• Be free of all canonical impediments to membership (discussed further with director)
• Freely choose to enter into discernment with us regarding her call
• Be formally accepted to candidacy by the executive committee after consultation with the vocation director.
