What first drew you to the Racine Dominican community?
My teachers at St. Bernard’s in Madison were always compassionate and sensitive to my needs. I enjoyed helping the sisters after school and also doing church work with them.

What has kept you in the community all these years?
The community has recognized my talents and given me opportunities to develop them. I have been allowed to be myself – in prayer and action.

What was one particularly cherished memory of your years in ministry?
My friendship with Sister Gemma is a very cherished memory. We related so well with each other in so many ways. Another very cherished memory is my ten-year race car ministry as chaplain’s assistant. By my presence, listening and prayer, I touched the lives of many people from all over the world.

What is one thing people today should know about the Racine Dominicans?
We are a community of prayerful women who reach out to people in need. I am proud of our commitment to truth, justice and peace.

What do you enjoy doing at this time of your life?
I look forward to sharing with a group of sisters each evening as we knit and do other stitchery. Doing volunteer work and reading are also enjoyable to me.
