S. Esther Szambelan (S. John Bosco) was born in Detroit, MI. She earned bachelor’s degrees from the University of Montreal, Canada and Dominican College in Racine, and a master’s degree in teaching from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh.
She taught at elementary schools throughout Wisconsin for more than 32 years, including being a teacher and principal at St. Rita in Racine. S. Esther loves music, and was an organist, musician and choir director at several parishes in Wisconsin and Michigan. She also taught music lessons in Racine for many years. S. Esther lives at Siena in Racine.

S. Rose Marie Dischler (S. Rose Gerard) was born in Plain, WI. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Dominican College in Racine, and master’s degrees from St. Louis University and Loyola University - Chicago.
Sister Rose Marie was a teacher for more than 30 years at schools throughout Wisconsin, Illinois and New Mexico, including Holy Name and St. Joseph in Racine. She worked in pastoral care for many years and was one of the Racine Dominican Sisters who founded the Eco-Justice Center. S. Rose Marie lives at Siena in Racine.
